That's expensive!

I got a quote from Admiral 24y/o £700.
Yes, its expensive compared to yours. But then he's 3 years younger and possibly 3 years less driving experience (assumption).

Sounds about right to me Adam, but try the usual specialists listed on here (Sky, A-plan, flux, etc) and then compete them against each other!

I wouldnt bother with the online quotes myself..

add another driver will bring it down, but you will get a better deal over the phone. just ask for discount

I paid about £1500 from admiral, same age and driving experience as you. And a £2000 claim that I didn't even know about until I rang up to renew :| That was a massive suprise!

impossible to consider all things and compare with others, location, job etc etc so many different factors to insureing your pride and joy, try Keith Michaels on here, insured me 25 with 4 years no claims for 700quid! adrian flux who i have been insured with for my last 5 cars, wanted 1100quid! personally i'd never pay any more than a grand to drive a car for a year, but thats prob jus me been tight!

That's expensive!

I got a quote from Admiral 24y/o £700.
I just renewed mine yesterday with Admiral £660 :)
24 years old
3ncb
6 years driving
1 previous claim last year costing £6000

Few little tips that worked for me, adding parents on always knocks money off but this year took my mother off and it went down. Moved car from Garage to the street saved me the most money. Played around with Vol Excess did have it at £250 changed it to £150 and that knoacked £90 off. The original renewal they sent me was £990! ha Also got a bit of lloyalty discount to.

Admiral/elephant/bell have always been cheapest for me. The likes of sky etc always state they can't insure me.

To the original poster - i would say its a tad high. £1200 is a bit more acceptable imo Did you get that quote online? Always ring him and ask for a better price, they can usually sort something out.

Brentacre was best for me also.

I will be going to SKY next year though, seeing as I'll have a year driving the 'teg under my belt.

i would of thought car would be more safer in a garage than a street ? so insurnce should come down if in garage

You should be, it's a fantastic price if all above board.
yeh definitely and that was with my two old parents on it, think they give you a good price if your a new customer then possibly scare you with your renewal, but atm im with their sister company elephant so who knows fingers crossed i can get them to battle it out and get the price down a little more who knows lol, and if not im still happy ^_^
