There is a couple of other threads on here about the J's if you use the search

as far as I'm aware theres only a handfull of us who have them I only know myself and LA-DC5 on here

Neither of us yet to get on the dyno!! although mine is bokked in at TDI on the 12th of June..

I haven't had experience with GruppeM but I had an AEM Short Ram before and the addition of the J's is Definately noticable!

Hope this helps somewhat.. ;)

I'm gettin a gruppe m today so il let you know if theres any power increase. Although I've heard that the j's racing suffers from hear soak. And because of where the breathing pipe is...let's just say watch out for all the water about to gather in their
Hope this is a wee insight

You hear wrong mate not so much as a sniff of heatsoak, whoever told you that hasnt got an igloo

What do you mean by the breather pipe? i would say a GM is the more likely to have water in it, what with the scoop on top of the bonnet (they both have drainage holes)

Is the J's racing not more expensive to.

Sounds good to have a change rather than everyone have a gruppe m. But i think you should go with the tried and tested. All those people with the gruppe m can't be wrong!!

But just for my knowledge...how often do u have to change/clean the filter. Is it every thousand miles like the Gruppe M?

i live beside a few quarries so i do mine pretty regular when its dry as the dust is crazy, dont know what mileage i just do it whenever i think it needs done, its a bit of a pain in the backside to take the cover off as well.

I got the J's as i didnt want the same as everyone else and im happy with it. It made an immediate difference to my car. I also got mine for very very reasonable money (mates rates), no where near the 1000 or so they cost \:D/

Think you might be confusing the j's Racing with the queries into the Budy Club induction Kit recently ;)

the J's racing kit is similar to the Gruppe M in many ways (enclosed CF bold box)

sir i salute you :xnworthy:

their are loads of different products out there, some 'mainstream' and some a little more 'specialist', why follow the herd?

gotta admit the j's does look 8) 8) and will do a very similar job to the gruppem! dont forget were not talking masses of ponies difference, it's prob nearer 1 or 2!

cai kits dont make much less ponies than gm's when properly set up, however the gm excels with torque figures, and thats from experience

Ya dont have to cut anything to fit the Gruppe M, just use the supplied panel/Scoop..

Both are great bits of kit, the J'S racing one will mark though from the bonnet though.. a minor point, but still..it looks cooler than the Gruppe M, the more CF the better!
