Hey guys,
Question.
I've just cleaned out the IACV, and it's now having a problem.
When the car is stationary/clutch down it now constantly revs from 1000-3000. Any ideas?
Had a quick search on here but no one seems to have had this after cleaning it.
Thanks!

Edit:
Just been searching online and a few posts have mentioned air in the coolant.

A common problem. Often give issues once played with.
Mine was fine, until I fitted my rbc, then played up.

If you are happy it's all fitted properly, no leaks etc. Go give it a good spanking.

Thanks for your reply mate.
Went out for a thrashing and still the same. I've just disconnected every pipe/tube/clip and reattached to see if that would make a difference but again, still the same. Hmm!

I'm in the same boat mate. Cleaned at weekend, sporadic hunting now.

Bad times!
I just went out for another slightly longer thrashing and when I was at the lights, the car is obviously revving itself and the bloke next to me in his corsa vxr starts revving thinking I want to race!

Been a long morning but it's all sorted!
I removed everything associated with the intake, re cleaned, left in the sun to fully dry and put back together.
I got myself one of those special 5 point star torx screws to fully dismantle the iacv into the 2 parts which I didn't do yesterday.
She's now working perfectly!
Think there may have been abit of moisture in the iacv preventing it from doing it's job.
Please delete now if required.

Glad you got it sorted, maybe leave the thread as is with some some good info :). Glad you won the race though haha

Disconnect your battery for half hour and then start it up. It resets itself and the Ecu re-Learns it's idle point. Works on a few cars.
