Kpro immobiliser void insurance?

Hi guys I have a facelift so has the immobiliser function and bought a kpro from the states that works in my car but has the flashing green key light when swapped with my oem Ecu, I was reading on CTRO club that when they get a kpro ecu installed from another car they will get this key issue and will have to get the kpro coded from Honda or there insurance is void if you don't? Is this true, thanks for any advise

how would they know? and to pass the sva test i believe they must have an aftermarket immobiliser fitted

Ok, I do have a aftermarket alarm system that came with the car, so your saying I can just get the immobiliser disabled to stop the light flashing ill be ok? Cheers
