Em light is on so plugged it in and got the code p1167 a/f sensor.

Is there 1 or 2 fitted and how do i know which it is?

Also ive been quoted £80 for one from my local motor factors but my mates saying i need to fit a genuine one, is that true?

Thanks

there is 2 sensors,

primary (pre cat) is deling with Air -fuel ratio closed loop running

secondary (post cat) basically checks to see if the cat is working .

the primary sensor is a wideband and different to the one from a type r civic (what many motor factors list as the correct part)

a few years ago the aftermarket/non genuine ones never seemed to work very well, buy more recently they seem to be ok.

you need a primary sensor i expect

Hunt around, ive seen threads listing Denso ones etc with the right part number. For much less than most people pay if you can wait for shipping.

Thanks guys. Seen the denso number on another lambda thread. Any ideas on the misfiring?
