I Recently bought a dc5 and when i drive it say over 50kph you can hear what sounds exactly like a wheel bearing gone sound, gets louder the faster i go, and when i press the clutch the noise it doesnt stop, has anyone ever experienced this before? IMO it sounds like a car with unbelievable bad road noise!
ive jacked the car up and all 4 wheel bearings are perfect, hopefully its a simple fix, im new to dc5 so still learning! Thanks

are the inner edges of the tyres worn un-evenly? Can give a similar noise. When you weave across the road and load the weight on one side does it get louder or quieter..

bad wheel bearings are extremely rare.
however worn tyres will give the exact same noise, if they are different brands, especially cheapies or have some odd wear,

Yeah pretty sure its not wheel bearings, tyres are in good condition and look to be worn evenly, there is pirellis on the front and federals on the back with rays ce28 alloys!

I've had the same thing before I was scared to death that it was wheel bearings because they used to go all the time on my old escort. But even though the tyres looked fine, one of them was slightly out of shape. Replaced the tyres and all was fine again :).

I'm probably going to jinx myself here but I've done 200k miles and not yet had to replace either wheel bearings or CV joints/drive shafts yet! Had countless unevenly worn tyres though which does sound like a dry bearing.
