Loose Steering Rack Bolts??

Hi Guys,

My car is currently at my friends garage in Oldham where he is doing a few mods. One thing he has noticed is that my steering rack seems loose???

He has tightened it back up again but isn't convinced that it won't work its way loose again. Can any one also hazard a guess as to the purpose of the pink markings?

He has suggested using some locktite but we thought it best to ask on here first to see if anyone else has had this or if its a common thing?

There was a recall for this over in Japan, looks like your rack is missing the locking washer things ,

Honda in the UK may fix this for free if you ask them.

Can the washers be bought separately? Can't take the car to Honda at the moment (RBC intake and DC Exhaut manifold being fitted so its not drivable) and would rather just get it done.

I'd imagine you can buy them from Honda of all places.

I think you want 2x 53535-S5A-003, Part 21.

I have checked the recall thread you linked to and it says:

The car of the chassis number to which the customer is entered is not subject to recall or improvement measures.
