Main beam upgrade

Hi all, I'm looking to change my main beam from the standard halagon light to the hid light that comes standard on dip beam but when I took my h1 bulb out it sits on a bulb holder that I've not seen before.

I've looked at several kits and none of them seem to have this bulb holder. So I'm wondering if anybody on here has done this upgrade and if so ware did you get the kit from.

Sorry mate, it's not something I've seen covered on here before, and ive done some mooching over the last 4yrs+

only trouble with main beam hids is that you cant flash your lights

they need abit of time to warm up.

thats ok i'm not reallly into flashing :roll:

So has anyone actually bought a kit?

MOT fail if you can't flash your headlights surely?

How did you work that out :-k , as long as the main beam comes on and no bulbs have blown then it'll pass mot, flashing your lights is not required during mot

You may have to drill out the bulb holder as I did when I did my EP3.

i cant view the thread mate as it says i need to be a member, anyway i had a feeling that i needed to drill the center out, oh well i'll just crack on with it then

You can buy adapters if its the same problem.

Just register, takes a few mins.
