Main dealer prices

Although I knew main dealers charged a lot per hour I didn't realise how much!

Just been quoted £234 to fit a wheel bearing!

That is a lot right? Haven't tried anywhere else yet but ok am sure it could be done for less...

It does seem a lot. Is that including the part price? Thats probably not cheap from them to start with.
And if its front does that include checking the alignment aswell? Guessing they'd have to take the hub off/driveshaft out etc.

I work for Fiat and the hourly rate there is £101inc vat, could only imagine honda being more.

Where abouts are you? You could try tgm in fleet Hampshire or TDI north not sure where they are based am sure there are a few other specialist about or buy the part yourself & get a local garage to fit it.

Yeah that includes the part... it just came as bit of a shock as teigwa seem to sell the bearings for £35...

I am in Bristol so will have a look around... Performance Autoworks are relatively close so might give them a bell...
I always get paranoid with new garages especially if they seem flustered when confronted with a 'unusual' car....

Give Leighton at Pro Garage a call. He is based in Warmley, Bristol. Check out his Facebook page. Top bloke.

Main dealer I would say that's right. Honda Cribbs is 90+ vat an hour. Bearing from them must be close to £60. There is a lot involved to do the work but the part is cheap.

Seems about right for Honda, I got a quote for a clutch change in my old ep2, £670! Got a quote from a local garage for 250 all in.

Leighton at Progarage has been looking after stuff on my DC5 for a couple of years, should be able to sort you out.

Give Hond-R a call, they're based in Oxford.
That is a great info! I don't even know there is specialist garage in Oxfordshire for Honda JDM.
Are they good? Many Thanks!
