Making this site into a club

Have you thought about making this into a proper club so that we can get into shows/trackdays/sprints with passes etc :?: A bit like Honda Revolutions. It appears through searching that there is no specific club for DC5's only. It would be awesome if we could it 8)

Have you ever thought about it and what would the interest be if it was possible?

I want to back this idea. it would allow for more products to be imported and would create a revenue for things such as

DC5 stands at shows, where sponsorships and/or endorsements would help with entrance fee's

Cheapened performance parts i.e the way the american RSX club is.

Plus there are lots of ways to take this to higher levels, much higher than Honda Revolutions.

it certainly works with the RS Owners club, so i dont see there is much of an issue with why it cant work here too.

I'm not knocking these thoughts, but............

HR now has 2000+ paid members, and the people that run the admin side / club, takes all of thier time (I dont have that much).

Currently a max of 100 DC5's in the UK, and not all owners use this forum.

As to getting bits cheaper etc, we are only a small bunch, so wont get good deals etc.

Honda UK wont want a thing to do with us, as we own imports.

I think, if in time ownership goes up, maybe 3 or 4 times, then might be worth while.

Same thots are in my head mike,
But something should be done. even if it is on a smaller scale to start with.

Time would be a problem but we would never get to the size of Honda R but we would be unique and very specialist as it wouldnt be ,

civic EK, jazz, integraDC2, civic EG, Nsx, s2000 and others it would be primerily about the DC5.

And other car owners would join, with the goal of DC5 ownership.
Hense number rise and also increased revenue.

It can be planned, and there is more work and contacting needed than a few of us going "Yeah lets get a club together" But there needs to a growth within this site and there should be an aim we could all be part of starting.
The DC5 will grow as a car and will be more successful than many other japanese imports, more so than any other typeR, i believe. It will require an owners club in the future the foundations should be made now .

Not wanting to put a downer on it,but with the Teg being phased out,even with a good start to a DC5 club it can only get smaller as time goes on :cry:

sniper mode eh Mugen Chip, i like that in a strange sort of way What about the event side of things though? how difficult would it be to be 'recognised' as a club so that with events such as Japfest/TRaxs/ club days we can get club passes and get well into the arena so that we can show are toys off and actually meet each other 8)

i understand that we are 'unique' and no doubt membership will always stay around this level as the car is so rare :lol: :lol: but this is such an awesome forum with top people in it it would be nice to recognise the hard work that you have put in to it Mike

well if your looking for someone to organise some stands at the shows i guess i could step up as i organise stands for my peugeot owners club too!

but it is ALOT of work to run a club!!!

i think its a good buzz hoppin on a boat and goin across the waters and its always a bonus when there,s a show on or even a cruise ... i,m goina try me best to be involved in every meet and show that dc5,s are involved in 8) 8) 8)

there are some nice place,s to see i,m sick off the whole car scene over here to tell you,s the truth that post i put up with the link off that silver thing thats the likes off things that go on over here ,, shit cars .. god i,m looking forward to the brum meet see some decent cars...
for decent shows cruise,s and meets i,d always try my best to get over to the uk
