MOT friendly exhaust manifold option+

Hi guys,

Now that my kakimoto and mugen intake are fitting i'm looking to get an RBC intake and an exhaust manifold before mapping it.

Knowing that the biggest restriction in the exhaust system is the cat, i need to get rid of it. However in the netherland i will have to pass a yearly MOT. I need to have the cat refitted then. So i had a few options as i don't want to blow all my money. I'm a student so i'm on a tight budget.

Looks decent. Full manifold for 220 quid.
+ Full manifold
+ cheap
- Hassle to fit and refit the cat yearly.
- Custom made 2-1 or 4-2-1

Have a word with a friendly local mot guy and explain about each decat, someone may be particularly nice and still pass the car...

You could go for the spoon 4-2 section and keep stock down pipe (2-1). Other than that you have to replace full section and have a friendly MOT guy.
You could look for the Maximworks Mani with Cat. I had the decat version and it was a beautifully engineered piece of kit. Not cheap though as its hand made to order.
