MOT issue

Just noticed, as i prepare to get my first MOT on the DC5, that the 1st MOT done by Newera has the miles on the MOT certificate as 39k - this was obviously though the km's.

Will this cause an issue? as Mileage is only 38k miles at the minute and when doing the MOT wouldnt this possibly flag something up as mileage inconsistent?

Its a clock reading, not what the car has actually done.

I thought MOT centres enter the mileage and this is registered on the national mileage register?

Therefore flagging up as something a miss when an HPi is carried out?

yes, quite probably


explain it to the tester and see what they can do


dont forget you can buy clocks with no miles on them and fit them if your proper ones broke, obv the readings would be different then too

im not too bothered, just wondered if the new MOT system might flag something up in future if a HPI check or something done. I have all paperwork etc so it wouldnt be too much of a problem explaining.

Anyway flew through its MOT 8)
