Has anyone used Mtec brake discs ?? My front discs need replacing and I am after an aftermarket grooved disc for fast road driving which I plan to use with Ferodo DS2500 or Mintex 1144 pads.

All I can find are:

I believe these are oem Brmebo discs which they groove and then treat in silver or black to reduce corrosion, so should definitely be better than oem discs.

Nice discs but a bit expensive for my needs.

So any opinions welcome on the Mtec or a viable alternative.

I know Dixcel are an option but DMS have none in stock and after reading about their delivery times I'm not prepared to wait months for them.

Ive got these discs on mine and your right they are the original brembo discs... Ive got them on the front and rear and they are fine the only thing they do is make a slight tick as the pads pass by the grooves but you will get that with all grooved discs.

See if you can find some Paul G discs mate, absolutely awesome!!
Pricey but worth it.

Failing that, I'm sure there are other Dixcel dealers.....

i have got these on the fronts Drilled and grooved with Ferodo DS pads, better than stock but i guess the improvement was from the pads more than the disc's

If it's just for the road id stick with OEM discs, and just get up-rated pads and some braided hoses.
