nope, your car should hit the rev limit in every gear, assuming you have enough power to overcome the wind resistance. (which you wont have)

i thought the 130mph in 5th was 8600rpm - ie the limiter?

Atleast im sure thats what it is in my car?

hate to jump the topic, but on a straight line on track, i've never got my car past 130mph. Is that the rough feel for most dc5's?

It should definitely go faster than that.

Yeah I was thinking that, it gets to 120 so quickly on the silverstone straight. Then 130 no worries then kinda drags. Probably not enough "straight". Dont think theres anything wrong with the car.

I know we shouldnt be encouraging speeding ;) but if people have had stock or near stock DC5's faster i'd like to know what they got..

ok i got the limiter off my car years ago, only mod i had was the v2 but i went to the red line in every gear except first and stopped at 8000 rpm in sixth. but can't tell yea what speed i was doing cause my car is still in km.
i done this on a public road with a garda escort to a hospital on a motor way

The gearing in 6th equates to 'roughly' 20mph per 1000rpm

So 'indicated' 160mph

More realistically, 150-155mph

i'm dubious about that. I've got an AEMv2 long ram, RBC inlet mani, dc sports manifold, izegan exhaust and kpro. I know my balls my have something to do with the factor, but were talking a very very long straight" to get it to 155. (for reference i have nor will go past the rules of the road and am talking purely for either private land or in particular track days)

the top speed of a standard tegg is 148mph about
