Never so happy that my car broke down.

A few weeks ago I destroyed my exhaust on the way into the parent’s house so I had to leave the car there until I had the exhaust repaired or replaced.
I came home on Saturday last after been out on the beer to find my own house and driveway under 3 foot of water due to heavy rainfall, a fair bit of damage was done to the house and my back wall collapsed and some of the garden has been washed away as I back onto a stream. But a least the car is OK. If the car was in the driveway at the time it would have been totally done for.
How lucky am I to have had a break down. :D

You dont live in one of these flood plain areas do you?
No it was just a combination of extreme rainfall and a few blocked drainage pipes. It was the second highest rainfall on record. Over a month’s rain fell in just four hours.
