Hi Aaron,

You will have to bob down the hill some time so I can look at all this kit you got fitted in your car.

...btw, you may want to get urself down to the Bolney (nr Brighton) meet this Saturday. Seach this forum for details, or try the 'Type-R.Org' forum.

Welcome... and lets see some pics, eh!

Dude... you'll have to be more specific about your problem for a diagnosis. Clubrsx (http://forums.clubrsx.com) is another good place to look.

RE fuel, I would advise using the highest rating RON you can afford/get. Optimax and the new BP super doo-dah is good (forget the name).

Take your time and read ALL the posts on this forum... this will give you a better understanding of the Teg (well, it did me!).

okay here goes...
Car drives fine normally. then at random the power drops off, the acceleration becomes lumpy, still VTECs but again lumpily. throttle response is almost non-existant. then just as quickly as it arrived, the problem will dissapear. problem usually lasts for a good 25 mins at a time, and can occur from start up or half way through a journey, regardless of driving style or place of driving (I.E. motorway/town). usually does it on cue if i let it idle for more than 5 minutes.
Honda have tried their diag system and found a fault code stored on the inlet sensor, which they deleted but the problem is still there and the code hasnt returned. Cant get the bastad thing to do it wen it gets to honda though typically. Any ideas???

Aaron.

Since when did being able to drive make any difference to thieving insurance companies anyway?

Group 17? Insured as a DC2 perhaps?

...talking of which. What is the average age of a DC5 owner?

Me, Im 25.
Probably best to start another thread and do a small poll of owners ages.

That way I don't have to press the big number buttons for all to see
