New front disks and pads help required

I know a subject no doubt done loads of times (I have searched an dread some threads on it).

I need some new pads for my car to pass it's MOT, ABP Motorsport have also said that really the front disks want doing too, it currently has OEM disks.

I only use the car for road use, am I best sticking for OEM disks and pads or is there a similar priced better option to go for?
They suggested EBC pads or are they not up to much?

I read on here about FERODO DS2500 - are they good with OEM disks?

Worse case I can just get pads done and sort disk in the next week to save rushing.

I have Ferodo pads, DS2000 (I think) with OEM discs, they are fine. Infact stick with buying OEM Discs, they are fine IMO....

EBC pads are rubbish, avoid. DS2500 or Mintex 1144 will give you significantly better braking than OEM pads (more expensive of course!)
