So I brought a doner box and took it to a reputable specialist in the honda scene. They stripped the box down for me, inspected everything, rebuilt with new bearings and a 5.1 spoon final drive.
Me and a friend who runs a garage fitted the box yesterday and for some reason the box won't engage 5th gear. It will select 1,2,3,4,6 and reverse fine. It drives fine too but when you try and engage 5th it feels as though its blanked off. Almost like when you try to engage reverse when your moving and the solonoid has engaged.
Disconnect all off the selector cables and tried to engage it manually on the selector turret. It rotates round perfectly into 6th but again feels as though 5th is blanked off? Any ideas before I ring the place that rebuilt it? The problem seems internal IMO
