Hi All,

For those of you who don‘t know about it, The Nippon Challenge is an exciting new race series and it has recently come to a close for 2009. It will be back in 2010 and we are trying to stir up some more interest.

It includes lots of close racing door to door on every corner and is a great bunch of people who take part. Why not come along and check out a couple of rounds next year. Or even better, form a team and take part. All of the race dates are over on www.nipponchallenge.co.uk

It is primarily aimed at people like us that have nice cars and a passion for driving. Anyway rather than me type what its about, why not hear it from the quite loverly Lucia Coward. Here she introduces the final round at Brands Hatch:

Here are a couple the drivers being interviewed before the race.

Below are two links for Race One, this coverage mainly follows Tim Clarke who runs in the GT500 class in his Mitsubishi Evo and Kris Dunlop in his Honda Civic. Both drivers are unfortunately involved in incidents during the race.

Hear the drivers‘ thoughts after race 1, and see some of the action from the racing.

Race two is mainly focused on the Irish team, Tuning Factory. Who only entered a couple of rounds but enjoyed them selves so much they are taking part in the whole season for 2010. They are running in the yellow Honda Integra DC2, The car is running much less power than most of the other cars around them but with Barry Rabbitt behind the wheel, after a disastrous start. He manages to claw his way back.

Racing summary to follow.

Please forward the links around if you like them, we are currently trying to get funding for the series so the more views we get the better the chance of getting a title sponsor.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Oh, nearly forgot, thoughts and feedback on the videos would also be greatly appreciated, good or bad, so long as they are constructive.

Thanks

Dave

Good Work Dave !

Just to add..... their are lot's of other "Amateur" race series that compete in the UK... week on week ( during the racing year ).... therefore, if you have a free weekend, find out what's on at your local circuit

yeah, its a great series, as mike says i'm sure there are loads of others too. this one has just suits me down to a T.

Good mix of cars, great bunch of people and some really close door to door racing.

Its a shame we don't base more meets around racing rather than shows.

any feedback would be appreciated, what do you like, what don't you like and what else would you like to see or know about the drivers.

Oh and if you could forward the links on to any other forums, friends or family members that might be interested that would be much appriciated.

hopefully we will get a sponsor and then we can get it shot professionally and maybe even available on the box.

Most 'club' racing in the UK... is done in a friendly way.... and most have close racing Dave ! ( I've been to a few now, to find out 'what‘s' about !

Yes, the Nippon is Jap ( Asian ) manufactured cars only, but many other series also have Jap cars out racing... often showing up European makes !

Which series in particular are you meaning Mike, or which ones do you think are the best? To be honest I haven't been to watch many others yet but In a perfect world I would spend my life filming and attending these events as I really enjoy the racing.

Damn, ideally i'd be behind the wheel too but one thing at a time.

I really want to get a couple of events filmed and see if anyone is interested in paying me some dosh, a guy can dream can't he? ;)

Dave....

All club race series are worth supporting... each have their own appeal... so not one stands out !

I'd like to see more support from everyone... for 'club' racing
