I got a problem with my DC5 clutch, it only got 3500miles on the clock, but something unusual start last sat.

The clutch got some noise when I press it down, but its gone when the car is warmed up, is that usual? I had this problem for few days already.

Same here.

Sounds like chatter one second;foot on clutch and it's gone;foot off and it's back?

Somebody told me it was the thrust bearing but I couldn't say for defo.

The onset of the fan belt slipping in the cold weather is another opinion.

I think it's the car greeting you before another blast. :xvtec:
Mine whines slightly when setting off in 1st gear when cold but within a few mins it's silent gearchanges.

Have same problem on mine
Changed thrust bearing and clutch still there but why only in cold weather.......
We have also looked at low level reverberation from heat shields
Still no luck.
Is it the gearbox....I bloody hope not....
Get use to it
I've had to....

I got the same noise. When you depress the clutch peddle it sounds like a creeking noise. My clutch is fine along with my drive train. I just think it needs some lube :)
