So I've done oil change, filter changes and spark plug changes etc etc. Now time to mod,I have a dead stock DC5 R, with just a backbox, no piping no filter.

I want to relatively reasonalbe power for the streets, I don't need to have a rocket.

I'm thinking along the lines of

Injen CAI
Hondata

What's so magnficant about this GruppeM intake?
And what's an RBC manifold?

^lol at the search link :(

Bit of a newb but heard good things about GruppeM, expensive but seems like the most highly recommended induction kit. Mine should be arriving in 3 weeks so i'll know more then.

Thought about upgrading your manifold?

What exhaust do you have?

Mods for bang per buck-

CAI ( Injen or AEM)
DC Sports mani
Any exhaust you like the sound of
Kpro

That will get you smiling.

Cost doesn't matter best gain options are -

GruppeM
Toda mani

then RBC inlet and Hondata IMG if you want some more.

Not a definitive list but something to start you off with.

The DC Header will be an improvement over the stock DC5 Type R header? or only an improvement over atype s?

when i had only the injen and the Kpro mine made 236.0/170.4 on TDI norths dyno.

The lowering of the vtec makes a difference and so does the boost in mid range and it got rid of the hole at vtec cross over.

made the car much better driver and stopped me missing the DC2 :!:

why is everyone talking about Hondadata when AEM stand alone ECU offers so much more? I know for one is the cost, but really no comparison between the too.
