I want to remove my OEM seat belts, the rear ones I can get away with but if I remove the fron two will the car still be road legal and be able to pass an MOT?
My car is fitted with two TAKATA's and fixed using the eyebolts supplied.
Any info would be appriciated.

Thanks :)

My 106 Rallye had the seatbelts removed and replaced with harnesses. As long as the mounting points are correctly welded into place then you should have no issues. It did get a note every year about not using the oem seat belts but never had a real problem getting the MOT.

Of course this was in the UK so not sure what the rules in Germany will say.

J, you're better off speaking to the bloke that is going to do the BFG inspection on your car as they can be funny buggers at the best of times.

I know mate, I was going to ask him tonight but the guy seems ok and has a big interest in cars so I think I will be ok, hope!
