OEM suspension top mount

I have recently purchased a set of Bilstein B14 coilovers which use the oem top mounts, however, I have seen that some replacemnt top mounts include a bearing.
On the set I bought this wasn't included, but does anyone know if it is actually required??

I bought my car on coilovers already so don't know what to expect with the bearing situation.

When I bought replacment top mounts I had to buy the bearings seperately, they were on eBay relatively cheap. They are thrust bearings and are required to allow the spring to twist when compressed from my understanding.

Thought I'd ask on here rather than start a new thread.

I think I need new OEM top mounts, can these be changed with the suspension still on the car thus saving me a new geo setup. Or does the damper and spring need to be removed?

Thanks.

As far as I've been told, the damper/spring need to be removed. I'm booked in with TorqueGT to get mine done.

You will need to take the dampers out to change the top mounts so will need to have your alignment re-done afterwards.
