40 will fit but ur wheels will stick out more!! oem is 60 which means your wheels are 2 cm further out.
it should be fine but take the original 215-45-17 tire size, 225 could maybe do the job also, but u have to try.
it also depens id ur car is lowered :)

i got some tenzo mach 10 also black with red 18 inch, 7,5 wide on eibach lowering springs...215 wide works good.

I have a set of spoon springs. I fitted 17x8.5 +42 on the back with no bother at all. Standard size on the front though

looking around on honda-tech in the USA it seems easy to get away with +35 offset without many issues, providing you aren't ridiculously low.

the wheels i'm looking to get are +35

40 is marginal (assuming 7.5 wide, I can't see the link at work).
