John George's car on its side at Brands Hatch
The photograph below shows the moment when John George crashed his TH Motorsport/JAG Honda Integra on the opening lap in the final roundof the 2008 HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship at the Brands Hatch circuit in Kent.
George’s car rolled at high speed after contact with Darren Turner’s SEAT Leon TDI and sent his Honda into the barriers along Copper Straight.
Although the 47-year-old Cornishman was able to climb free from the badly damaged car – which came to rest on its side – a team spokesman confirmed that George will remain under observation overnight in hospital in nearby Maidstone.
