New struts are usually included for CPack models
As the extra weight of the rear wiper and motor etc, plus the extra weight if the shelf itself, could possibly age the std fit one prematurely

Or so ive been told!

hmm, bit of a strange thing to not include from the factory, can't weight hardly anything surely...

is it just honda windling a few more pennies out of people? or is there an actual good reason why they aren't included?

(am about to order my dc5, and whether it had a parcel shelf or not hadn't crossed my mind tbh...)

I think it's worth it, it does look very nice, no weight at all either, plastic surround and cloth middle! Not much use for parcels to be honest

got a quick question, if you have the c-pack, and the rear windows are all tinted, can you see in the boot?

the reason i ask is because if i do get a parcel shelf it will only be for privacy... is it dark enough to keep everything out of sight anyway?

Depends on how light it is and also how bright the item is in your boot..
If you look hard enough then yes basically though.

what for, these are great. best thing i got for my tegg.
i reckon if u make your own it will prob rattle when driving along.

They may be good, but they are hardly cheap for what is essentially a formed piece of cloth.

I haven't seen one in person, it was just a thought :lol:

the gas struts are on all teg tailgates, the pic does show them (a hydraulic ram either side of the tailgate that lifts the boot open)
the parcel shelf weighs sod all and it confused me as to why i needed another pair.
our blue teg has clear glass and a shelf is a must have to stop prying eyes, the other is factory tint and seems to get away without one, would prefer to have one in it tho' :?

my car came with tinted rear window and parcel shelf which was good!

ive seen a few red (cloth) parcel shelves which are nice, mines is just black though.
