PBS and OEM rear brake pads

I've got a new set of both PBS and brembo rear pads. When comparing them both the size is identical however the brembo have a metal tab on 2 out of the 4 rear pads in the box.

I've got a feeling these could be a dc2 fitment?

If the tab isn't needed on the dc5 it looks simple enough to cut out so I can keep it for future service.

Any ideas ?

They're wear indicators mate - no need to remove. They'll cause squealing when pads are low - should be checking regularly enough to avoid it getting that bad anyway (MOT, servicing, pre/post track sessions etc.).
