R888's 245mm Width

I am looking to get some sticker tyres for Drag Racing and am considering soft compound R888's in 245/40 or 245/45 r16's, has anybody had any experience with fitting this size of tyre under a stock arch? I am looking to mount them on old school 16" Supra alloys which have an offset of 50mm, that's 10mm less than stock. so the whole package will stick out a further 1" or so in both directions.

Anybody used these tyres before and how did you find them?

Will they fit over calipers?

I'd certainly struggle with anything over 225 R888's on stock arches. (Running 15mm spacers).

I've got stock calipers and discs and think there is quite a bit of room there. I'll whip my calipers back on tomorrow with a wheel and take some measurements, the shock is fitted without a spring so I can push the wheel fully with its travel and see what room we have.
