Rear n/s buddy club shock leak

Hi there,

Just had my mot today and it passed with 1 advisory...

Advisory being that the rear n/s shock has a slight oily mist leak?

However, I have buddy club N+ coil overs but I wasn't the original purchaser of them so wouldn't be able to replace via warranty (if it's still in date)?

Is it hard to replair the shocks? I would end up doing both rears. Or is it better to just replace them?

I'm in no rush atm but would obviously like to sort this out before it gets worse!

Thanks,
Carl.

you will be hard pushed to get them rebuilt.
Do you mean that relating to the supplier rebuilding them, specialist rebuilding them or myself rebuilding them?

I imagine your best bet would be to just replace the damper. SPD should be able to supply one - give them a call and speak to Paul Hughes.

They should be able to get you a new shock no problem.

Thanks for that Liam, I'll give them a ring Monday!

Edit: gave them a call earlier and they quoted £466 per side including springs. A bit too expensive atm is there anywhere that refurbs shocks?
