Remove the rear number plate metal bracket

Hi all,

I found the metal bracket for rear number plate is not on use and causing alot rust around it too, so thinking of removing it.

How can you remove it? There are two rubber kind of thing holding it with one nut.

I have removed the nut...

There is no information on the RSX manual as they have the metal one together with the collision bar.

Any tips?

Drill the spot weld to remove the bracket.

thanks! I was thinking that, the spot weld....not some hard rubber band.!
