Replacement key

My car only came with one, and I'd like to replace the missing one. Naturally I emailed my local Honda dealer who were really helpful and told me to find a locksmith.

Anyone had a spare key made up? How much did you pay and I assume it needs coding to my ECU?

I bought Jazz key blanks from eBay and took them to a local key cutter mate.

Nothing complicated as long as there's no transponder.

Pre face shouldn't have one in the key. Think they get removed on import and that's why you have the Clifford fob.

I only changed mine as the button holes were ugly ;)

If yours is pfl, You can get it done at timpsons for like £10..

Pfl doesn't have built in immobiliser.. so the key has no chip.. hence people get aftermarket immobiliser and alarm fitted.. also a insurance requirement for most import cars

As said, no factory security on a PFL. Fl came with immobilisers. Which need a special key, with the transponder in it.
