Rev limit

Just a quick question, in neutral does our cars have a safety rev limiter of 4500rpm, tried it at the weekend and was able to rev way higher!!!. Have done a search and some say they do and some don't, just curious, don't suppose it will really matter but just wondered if something was wrong

5,500RPM, perhaps with a K100/KPRO this can be altered... or your VSS is faulty?

Was the engine cold ?
Pretty sure there is a safety limiter to prevent vtec if engine isnt warm... Unsure of what Rpm but definitely below 6k

5500 on OEM ECU I believe, can of course be changed with after market ECUs.

5500 it is. Just before the lower cam profile runs out of use.
