Running 98+ron on KPRO tuned for 95ron

Will it cause any problems,just i was in knockhill a while back and after being retuned for 95ron i put in 98ron and on a brief occasion it flashed the engine check light..

On another note has anyone remapped theirs for different petrol?
Is it an awkward job?
Maybe someone would be kind enough to forward me their map for similar car running on 98 ron and i could give that a try.
Or is it all baloney and the ecu will adjust itself accordingly but just won`t reap any benefits other than a higher fuel bill?

my running probs only started since v-power took over from optimax, it might not have anything to do with it like, ive been told it shouldnt

It shouldn't do any harm running a higher grade fuel when your cars been mapped for use on a lower grade; you just won't be getting the full potential out of the fuel, as your map will be less aggressive, run less advance etc.
