Safe mode?

Hi guys,

started my car one evening as per usual... except this time my engine check light came on.

Thought it was the o2 sensor at first as this has happened twice before...

Untill the revs wouldnt go past 4800 or so in every gear

At the traffic lights, left the engine off... then started when the lights went green.

Problem hasn't happened since... but im baffled!

Any comments?

see what codes the ecu is flashing up or take it to honda to get it read

Is your ECU K-Pro'd? Did you have the Vtec changeover point lowered to 5k? In which case it could be the Vtec oil pressure changeover warning.. although without a proper diagnostic its hard to be sure.
