How are you guys getting insured with sainsbury's?
Done an online quote, car comes up as a honda accord. Phoned them up, they tried to put the car in manually and said no. If we can't find it through the dvla or some sh*t, we can't insure it.
So my car doesn't exist to them being registered in the UK. So them insuring imports isn't true?

There was a post recently saying sainsbury has changed their underwriters and the dc5 no longer listed

Guys I'm insured with Sainsbury's and until today had only good things to say about them. However they are now 100% losing me as a customer conexrebewal for the following reasons.

1) whoever told you they have changed underwriters is losing, or the woman Dee I spoke too is as she told me they have not changed underwriters and she's worked there 14 years.

2) I won't be covered if I fit a strut brace to my car as this is a performance mod that adds bhp. They will insure lowering, exhausts, air filters, manifolds but not a strut brace... wtf? Never heard of this in me 20 odd years of driving.

So my mugens are staying off until renewal time.

Seems they have nobodies on things which concerns me now.

And my single email to Pace Ward to sort my mods was dealt with professionally and no fee. With insurance it usually pays to go with a well reputed specialist rather than someone because they're cheap.

Yeah but mugen was an optional extra and they wont insure optional extras? WTF lol, I asked why and their underwriters reply was

" This item adds BHP to the car "
