Got both on the xbox.
the plot line in GTA was a bit more restrictive, but I'm told if you persevere the game opens up.
Saints Row II, on the other hand gives you more ability to divert to various activities and generally loon about as well as doing assorted missions.
Both quality games but I'm finding SR II to be far more entertaining.

went for GTA 4 in the end, Play strangely seem to have a back log of orders as ive still not received my confirmation that its been sent.
just got to buy a ps3 now, but does anyone know of anywher edoing decent deals on them at the mo? Blockbusters have, Ironman, Batman Begins, a racing game, fifa 09 and blue ray remote for 309...
