Treat it the same as a CTR,unless you're tracking it,then you should do it more frequently :)

Surely the 6 monther/6250 miler is in order what with the potential oil issues with VTEC's. Just a suggestion. For £100, better to be safe than sorry.

I like to change mine every 6k miles. With track days and the odd dyno mapping session it's seems a good idea.

To keep costs down I buy Mobil 1 from French supermarkets when I do booze runs. It's half the price you pay in the UK.

Out of interest, what does everyone use as their service book to get stamped up??

Mine didn't really come with any.

Some of us were talking about this at the meet :)

Luckily mine and a few others came with the enormous Japanese service manual.Dealers tend to stamp these at the back as it's impossible to tell where else to stamp them.

Others have a service book from their UK Honda dealers and can get these stamped as normal (someone has both  )I think you have to pay for this book, but I'm sure a little haggling (e.g. "alright I'll get it seviced at so & so's as they'll give me a service book" etc) will get you one f.o.c.

Ah right. Mine did not come with the Japanese book, but I will sort it out through a Honda dealer.

S'funny how it is only really an issue when selling the car on, because inevitably I serivce the car more often than any service book reccommends!! But a stamp is a stamp!! :D

I rang Bristol Honda, and pointed out it was the DC5 import, 2.0 and they were adamant it was 9000 miles.

Any Honda dealer can service it....some choose not to.

My Dc5 came with the Jap service history, so I went to Honda and they gave me a "Continuation Service Book" I filled in the past service details and then Honda now stamp it each service which is 9000 miles. As honda use the speedo reading , I also add the actual mileage ie adjusting for the km upto import. I have a honda ectended warrantee £550 for 2 years inc AA,

I did exactly the same Martin when mine was serviced at Steels on Monday - service book was about £5
