Sheared strut mounting

when cleaning today, I noticed today that there was a missing bolt

Not sure why this has happened as the vehicle hasnt been subject to serious strian but It sheared the thread off with it grrrr.

Is the bit thats sheared welded to the car? or can i get a replacement and a new bolt to sort it out?

its welded and fitted from underneath, it is possible you can get at the other side without removing the strut itself, however i wouldnt really worry too much it wont affect the car at all. you could always fit an aftermarket strut bar if you were really worried, as they use the bolts around the strut itselfnot the oem studs.

I wouldnt be happy with that if it were my car, perfect excuse to upgrade though....
