shuddering when braking

it only happens on one corner near where my mum and dad live.

if i brake hard at the t-junction at the end of the road and turn the wheel left (turning uphill) the brakes on the nearside wheel seem to "shudder". i dont seem to lose any braking power but when it happens ive almost stopped anyway.

It only happens on almost full lock and only on this corner turning left. my best mate reckons because its on full lock it might be a bit of movement in the pads, as they obviously arent fixed solid, combined with the ABS doing its thing.

Any thoughts??
Cheers

vince, i would think the tyre is losing grip due to the angle or surface which is causing the Abs to activate.
it won't be a pad issue i'm certain.
if it only happens at one particular corner, have a look at the road surface, is the tarmac shiney or is there some loose crap like gravel there?

cheers for the reply, the road surface is pretty decent as far as british roads go so not sure its that!!

im worried about it as it is only that corner. losing grip on that tyre sounds resonable tho!!

Cheers :D :D
