Slight knocking when going lock to lock while parking top mounts???

Just heard a slight knocking when going lock to lock this morning while parking up, doesn't do it as much if your moving slightly, and can't hear anything when driving normally and it still handles well. Thinking it's too mounts what do people reckon?

Sounds like top mounts mate. One of mine did the same thing a couple of years ago and turned out to be the top mounts. 🖒

Yeah top mounts or the bearing collars in them.

Have you worked on the car recently? Had this occur on mine after fitting some eibach springs, ended up stripping it all out again, splitting the plastic bearing collars, cleaning the old hardened grease out and re-applying fresh silicone grease which resolved the issue completely, also convinced the steering feels a bit lighter afterwards too.

The original grease had gone off and hardened up with age, they're getting on now and need a bit of TLC 🙂
