slight noise

I have noticed a slight noise occasionally about every 3 -4 minutes. it sounds like tyre noise when you go through a puddle on a damp road or water being splashed on the exhaust. it only lasts for a second and is hardly noticeable,

I am going on the Euro tour in 1.5 weeks time doing about 3.5k miles so I need to know the car is OK.
I have had the car up on ramps the wheels are ok the tyres are fine. I have just had the oil changed and filter.

things which could be causing it are:
1) just had gruppem fitted.
2) just had Kpro fitted but don't believe its this
3) fitted the springs on my back box to mid section, previously it was a U clamp but this kept breaking the rear hanger on the back box. (possibly it could be the springs at the side of the zorst.
any ideas ?

I'd say the Gruppe M sucking air or the exhaust springs Dave.

Iirc Rob had a problem with his BC exhaust that sounds similar.

I was wondering if something in the BC zorst could have come free. sounds like a hissing noise as though there is water in the zorst being steamed off.

If yours does have the BC exhaust I'm sure it will be that.
Robs car used to do it all the time :?
