It's not as low and raw as a dc2 I am guessing that's the experience you are feeling. But Honda didn't make a slower car as the next generation Integra. If you were in a well set up Car, it would probably still feel slower just due to the design but on the stopwatch would tell a different story.

The noise inside was a bit lower but the car didint feel as alive. I expected to feel more power but it didnt really seem that way. I will have to try another.
This.
I've owned a B series CRX and a B20 EK9 and they felt completely different to the DC5. The DC5 is smooth but feels soft in a way, mine still does now compared to the older cars but then again I don't have a decent suspension setup as such (Will have soon though).
When I drove the DC5 for the first time it felt slow in comparison to the B20 but once I started to open it up on the way home that's when I could really feel the difference.
The B20 was probably quicker off the mark and it was also stripped so felt more 'racy' however the DC5 is a deceptively quick car and once you're higher up in the rev band that is when you see the difference. It would be a lot quicker than the B16 CRX VTEC I had as well. Whoever says these cars don't have good torque is 'torquing' rubbish ha ha!!! They have excellent torque even in higher gears.
As mentioned above try and get in one that has been modified. The only modified one I've been in is Coyote's and it would out handle and outpace mine with ease and I can say that with some confidence. As the guys have mentioned, once you upgrade certain elements of the DC5 it improves the overall characteristics of the car massively.
