I went back again! Decided to get them to do an oil change/filter (I supplied the oil) and everything went perfect, engine is sounding lovely! They always use Honda Parts as well, only cost me £50 including labour! (Abbey Motorsport in Surrey used to be £80 labour on its own)

*EDIT

Went back today, while I was there I spoke to the guy about why my previous post on the forum about my valve clearances was laid out on the table next to my receipt and it turns out it was just feedback shown to him by the Spoon Sports Guy!
We had a good chat about it and they were really friendly! :xcheers:

Hmmmm, maybe they wanted you to comment when you was in there. Interesting though that the Spoon guy is reading the forums.

Yeah may have wanted me to comment on it or something... to improve on their customer service perhaps? Would have done had I been asked.

*EDIT

Actually, I am wondering if the spoon guy wasn't happy about it and showed the garage who is looking after the brand... :-k

Could be right as if I was the Spoon guy I would expect my francises to know about the product and various Hondas. Shouldn't be asking customers for valve clearance settings. Unfortunately Spoon "appear" to let any garage become a dealer, not just specialists.

Imagine going into a garage using "Spoon Sports" as a front and buying some Spoon cams and valvetrain then leaving your car there to have them fitted, to the get a phone call asking the torque settings on the cam caps and the valve clearances, I would have my car out of there in a flash and on a trailer to TGM or TDI North!!

Yeah that sounds to me what they have done then! South Street Motors is the actual current home of Spoon Sports Europe.

Their customer service is SPOT on though, they bend over backwards to get everything sorted for you, they just didn't have the know how at the time for the DC5's valve clearances settings.

Apparently they have Tuned a racing S2K there and various Spoon race cars, I think the fact they had never done a DC5 before threw them off completely!

Well, they know now because I gave them the RSX Manual.

Service/Oil change went well!
