Spoon Wing Mirrors - Hydro vs Regular

Looking at the Spoon wing mirrors on Taikyu. Theres a €108 price difference between both versions. Surely the price cant justify the hydro coating when a rain repellent could just be applied to the regular version. or am i missing something???

Just get the cheaper ones, the hydro wears off very quickly and as you say just apply your own thing.

I've got the non 'hydro' version, I washed the car the other day and now they're covered in water marks. Can't get them off either 🤨
