Standing start Rev limiter.

Hi there,

Just wondering what the dc5 revs up to on standstill in neutral while warm.

I was testing the car out and considering getting launch control but noticed it maxes at 5.5k revs. However, while driving the car does his the 8.5k limiter?

Is this a launch control function or is it to protect the car?

pretty sure its 5k. you need to be moving to rev above this.

Oh I see thanks for clearing that up Cali. I thought it was a launch control function so wondered if it had a kpro fitted lol.

Is this pre motion limiter for safety purposes?

Yes it's for protection rather than a launch control.

I gathered, but just didn't realise it was a pre motion Rev limiter as apposed to launch control.
