Strange Tyre Wear

Any help most welcome, I have Facelift DC 5 which is standar, the drivers side rear tyre wear is causing me some concern. There is strange wear on the inside edge of the tyre which i can only describe as a step, it alternates block by block as high and low if your run your hand over it.

All the other tyres are ok and are not showing this pattern. The tyres are RE040's CZ JDMs.

Thanks........

Sounds like the tyre is delaminating...

Quite unusual with decent tyres nowadays... You should go and get it checked out by a decent tyre fitter, as it can lead to the tyre failing... not good... :(

Could be an issue with the camber? seem's odd that it's only on one side.

Sorry, i have just been out to check, it is both rears, the passenger side is actually a little worse

It is a suspension set up issue?

I have a facelift and mine was the same, the rear tyres had a rim on the inside edge. I took the car to TDI for a fast road set up over a year ago and no issues since.
When they checked the car it was out which I presume was the problem.

Get Tom to check the dampers for wear as the tyre could be bouncing which can cause tyre wear like you describe,
