Tegiwa/Gruppe M rain water question

Has anybody heard of or had an issue of hydrolock or a wet filter with a Tegiwa/Gruppe M induction kit? I know there is a drain hole at the bottom of the airbox, but what if there is still some rain water left holding in the airbox that doesn't drain? Was thinking it could condensate when engine is warm and saturate the filter?

Sorry if im being stupid, just be good to know others thoughts. We had alot of rain lastnight and just got me thinking thats all.

thanks ;) i just hate the thought of water being in my airbox. not usually a good combo, however if it cant be sucked up then thats great! I know there is a drain hole and water definitley gets in as i see water on the gearbox where it has drained out. Just worried if it any doesn't drain out where would it go?

the bottom of the intake shell is bowl shaped with a whole at the bottom so there never will be water or liquid stuck in the system. :)

i think the one exception to this drain be adequate is if you blast through a monumental puddle or another car does sending gallons of water over your bonnet. Never heard of it happening though but worth being cautious around big puddles/lakes in the road :)

I sprayed a jet wash directley at mine, trying to get rid of some bird poo,for a good couple of mins, not thinking.

Just let the car stand for 10/15 mins and then crossed my fingers and turned the key........................

Happy to report it was all good. There is a post about it,on here,somewhere......
