tegiwa shortshifter + ktuned race spec cables

So i've had the k-tuned race cables for about 3 years now with no issues at all, today i decided to do the tegiwa shortshifter mod.
First problem, the up and down motion cable doesn't fit so i had to take of some material from the ktuned end piece.
Got that sorted and all fitted
i didn't use the left-right adaptor as i have the k-tuned billet arm.
Second problem: now the cables "grind" when going in first gear and sometimes in second, it's hard to get in gear.
it's like the cable is at a too big angle to work right.. took it back off and all gears go smooth again..
Anyone else with the same setup that has/had this problem?

Yep had the same issue with the race cables and the ktuned shifter. I filed the end piece of the shifter cable down so that it is an oval shape when looking from above, that allows the cable to pivot slightly when selecting first/second. Hope that helps!!

that didn't work for me , the end piece kept hitting the adaptor causing it to bind.
i filed a lot of of the end piece but didn't work so i ended up using 2 shims between the shifter and the adaptor and now it's a lot better!!
minimal grind now but shifts smooth now :xaiweb5:
