Third gear grind

Right this is a different one!
Yesterday my missus leaned across the centre console while the engine was running, and in doing so, pretty much forced it into third (obviously without using the clutch).
Now everytime I shift from 2-3 or 4-3 it grinds as though the clutch isn't engaging on third gear.
Any ideas?

Could have fudged the synchro in doing so. Or bent the selector fork.
Cheers Jimmer.
If it is just the selector, can it be bent back?

Selector is in the gearbox I believe. Tom at TGM was telling me when i was having gearbox work done a few years ago that in the race cars, third gets a hammering in the downshifting, and sometimes they bend the fork, (going 4th to 3rd) thus not pushing it into gear fully. Could be what's happened to yours but I couldn't say for certain. Take it to a specialist if you can bud, only real way to see would be to take it apart.

I suppose you could take out the bit where the shifting spring goes on top of the gear box and have a look. Would be the easiest thing to check first

Thanks mate, much appreciated
It's up at TorqueGT next week to get top mounts sorted, I've also messaged Darren and he said they'd happily take a look while its there and diagnose the issue.
