system started sounding a bit different last week,and took it off today to find that :shock:
i know this has happenned before on their joining.


only on the car since march.

yes the "waste" is spilling out of the perfectly formed crack.
some of the insulate is also trying to creep out.
not the luck of the irish with engines last week,exhausts this week :?

Thats why i didnt buy TODA get SPOON! Better quality but only a few hp less though :wink:

Looking into price for welding,and a price on a straight through piece.
might get both while i`m at it.

If you're going to get it rewelded I'd speak to who you got it from first for some sort of refund/exchange etc!

Don't reckon this has been through ND (Non Destructive) Testing!!

Surely Toda will exchange or fix it!! :)

Apparantly not since the system is for "racing use" and not "road use".

5Zigen and Apexi are the only companies that would offer at least a year warranty - in Apexi's case, 3 years on all their exhaust systems.
In fairness where the weld is failing is at the top of the box when mounted,and taking in to account any time the pipes scraped underneath any pressure would go to this point.
I have always tried to avoid contact but there has been slight occassions :idea:
Also since kpro there seemed to be a build of pressure coming from the rear of the car whilst in low down revs,particulary after slow gear change.
Turning of the TPS has resolved this.
Maybe just a combination of the above?

yea mike mine went to exacally the same place after a couple of months .

paul at system r replaced it with a revised braced section for me ..

any one else got this new mod !! on the ones they have just bought

here is a pic of mine ...fonz600 buying it I think here you can see the additional bracing between the flange and min silencer ...

Yeah from the pics it looks like his has gone at the opposite end to yours, and his i think has the bracing on (u can just see a tiny bit of it in 1 pic)
